Report on One-Day Faculty Development Programme on Capacity Building in Drafting Research Proposals to Funding Agencies and Industrial Consultancy Projects

MEASI Institute of Management organised One Day Faculty Development Programme on on Capacity Building in Drafting Research Proposals to Funding Agencies and Industrial Consultancy Projects on 29th June 2024 from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. The program witnessed a strong turnout with a total of 76 participants registering. These participants hailed from 27 different colleges located across Tamil Nadu, demonstrating a wide regional interest in the program’s themes. The program was privileged to have Dr. P. Vigneshwara Ilavarasan, a highly respected professor from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Dr. Ilavarasan’s extensive experience of guiding over 100 PhD students provided invaluable expertise for the participants. His insights into the research proposal writing process and industry collaboration were instrumental in enriching the program.The program concluded with a highly positive response from the participating faculty members. They commended the program’s structure, content, and Dr. Ilavarasan’s expertise. To recognize their successful completion of the program, all participants received a certificate of participation from MEASI Institute of Management. The program actively engaged participants throughout the day. Dr. Ilavarasan’s engaging presentation style and interactive approach encouraged lively discussions and Q&A sessions. The participants actively participated, seeking clarification on specific aspects of proposal writing and consultancy project development. The One-Day Faculty Development Programme at MEASI Institute of Management served as a valuable platform for professors to enhance their skills in research proposal writing and industrial collaboration. A fund of Rs.35600 was generated through this FDP. The program’s success highlights MEASI Institute of Management’s dedication to fostering a culture of research excellence within its faculty and across the wider academic community.
