Dr. J. Henry Rozario has worked as an Associate Professor in Social Work in Sacred Heart College (Autonomous) between 1988-2017 and retired as the Head of the Department & Vice principal of the College. He took sabbatical between 2006-10 and worked as the Regional Director of South Asia for Restless Development, UK and line managed country programmes in India and Nepal on Strategic Planning, HR and Operations. After his retirement, he has started a venture Exodus Research & Development Pvt Ltd.
He is a consultant to the corporate, development and educational sector on Training & Leadership Coaching.
He has taken up assignments with 35 companies which includes L&T Construction, L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, Hyundai Motor India, Ashok Leyland, MRF, Sterlite Copper, Rane Madras, Titan Company, TTK Prestige Ltd and the like.
He has undertaken 16 major research studies & consultancy services for Government, Corporates and International & National NGOs like UGC, RGNIYD, DB Tech, Child Fund India, ELGI Equipments Ltd, & Restless Development.
As Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) member & Steering Committee Coordinator for NAAC Accreditation, he has contributed a lot to enhance Research, Consultancy and Student Support & Progressive culture among the faculty members of the college. In addition to this, he has contributed to the governance, leadership & management of the college by playing a major role in the Restructuring Committee of the College from 2015-17.
Dr. J. Henry Rozario obtained his Ph.D. in Social Work from Madras School of Social Work in 2002 and secured Gold Medal for his MSW in Loyola College in 1982. He did his Diploma in Social Leadership from SEARSOLIN, St. Xavier University, Philippines during 1984-85.
He is an Internationally Certified Leadership Coach registered with CCA- Certified Coaches Alliance, USA. He has completed the Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) of International Coach Federation (ICF) through Symbiosis Coaching, Boston, USA.
Dr. Rozario, has widely travelled abroad to the following countries – Philippines, France, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Thailand & USA – either for education or for work assignments.
