Training & Development – Skill Enhancement Modules
Introduction & Objective
- The Training & Development wing at MEASI Institute of Management focuses on imparting core skills covering the end-to-end spectrum of behavioral and competency development among management students. These skill sets focus on honing managerial and core leadership attributes among our management students, thereby creating a path towards their career as well as entrepreneurial goals.
- The unique coaching methodology of MIM’s training wing drives the hidden potential within students and targets in developing the 3 critical pillars, namely Attitude – Behaviour – Competency (A-B-C), which is crucial to drive a holistic development amongst them, as they step forward into the corporate arena.
- MIM’s training provides an experiential learning ecosystem for our students, where they get to engage through live case studies and role-play scenarios for better understanding and comprehension of several corporate domains. Additionally, we provide ample opportunities for our students to engage directly with industry subject matter experts to get a first-hand view and gauge the potential of every domain while choosing the same for their final year elective subjects.
- Every student gets the opportunity to demonstrate their newly acquired skills on varied platforms & inter-collegiate management meets, as this enables them to build their confidence levels in relevant skill areas.
- The key objective of the Training wing is to transform every student of MIM into a strong leader even before graduation & to enable them to take on the corporate or entrepreneurial journey with added confidence and enthusiasm.
Process
Under the training & development cell, an elaborate module covering 3 core areas is covered during the 2-year program. The 3 core areas are:
- Executive Communication: A module that covers the basics of communication and dives into the deeper aspect of developing a powerful and confident persona, preparing the student to take on upcoming events and competitions, as well as take the lead in conducting in-house events at the institution. This module also enables students for their upcoming summer projects.
- Business Etiquette: A very comprehensive and experiential-based module that focuses on instilling the importance of etiquette and mannerisms in a corporate or business world. The module focuses more on case studies, role plays, and intense stakeholder engagements, which eventually drives a leadership persona among the students as they venture into their final year of the program.
- Leadership & Team Building: A very crucial part of their learning journey, where the module focuses on critical aspects that would test their leadership attributes and would challenge their belief system. Furthermore, it generates a thought-provoking approach to understanding diverse team mindsets and handling team dynamics in the best possible manner.
